So, what were the takeaways from a year where media continued to evolve rapidly? Cue the 2025 Impact Report for the top-line and the nitty gritty on what is actually working in creator-led organizing, from multi-month relationship building to rapid response campaigns that generated millions of views and measurable engagement. → Reddit’s Creative Trends 2026 Report: Reddit has surged in popularity with brands – as well as elected officials and candidates in-the-know – becoming a serious cultural driver [move over, TikTok]. Reddit’s new Creative Trends 2026 Report underscores its cultural relevance, sharing ideas and inspo for brands to think about when developing campaigns on the platform; but like with any recommendations shared for a ‘brand,’ creators should be paying attention and tapping into the recs as well, because creators are their own brands [brb find me dying on this hill]. Read the full report here.
→ Ogilvy’s 2026 Influence Trends You Should Care About: Agency powerhouse Ogilvy has released a new report on the biggest trends in the influencer and creator space – trends that both creators and brands/orgs should think about moving through this year. Notably, two concepts outlined are particularly sticky in nature – the launch and investment in UGC loyalty programs over customer loyalty programs, and creator-equity models for partnerships. HOW THEY CREATED IT
The BTS with a creator in social impact
MEET NIKKI SAPIRO VINCKIER: Nikki Sapiro Vinckier is an OB-GYN Physician Assistant, reproductive health educator, author, and digital creator based in Michigan. She creates evidence-based, unapologetic content at the intersection of healthcare, politics, and patriarchy, translating complex reproductive health issues into language people can actually use. Nikki is also a mom of three kids and a rescue dog and cat, and is the founder of Take Back Trust, a platform dedicated to helping people navigate reproductive healthcare with clarity and confidence. Her first book, We Deserve More, comes out in May 2026.

What's something you wish someone told you before starting to make content?
“To stay authentically myself. People follow you because of you. And when you lean into what makes you uniquely you, that’s when my posts feel the best, come the easiest and build the follower community that I’m interested in having.”
Why is making political content so important to you?
“This one feels like a no-brainer, because the world is falling apart. But actually, as an OBGYN PA, I started doing content about reproductive healthcare, and given the current state of America, reproductive healthcare became inherently political. So ipso facto, here I am.”
What would you really like to see evolve in the political content space in the coming months? Are there any change points you're excited for?
“More partnerships with local creators and larger creators when we’re talking about large swing races this midterm. I think uplifting the creators doing the work in the districts and states are so critical.”
What social media platform do you prefer, and why does it get the #1 spot?
“I’m having so much fun on Threads right now. It’s this unhinged, foul-languaged, unapologetic quick-witted space, and I’m really here for its levity.”
How do you balance online versus offline time?
“Balance? Who is she? I don’t know her.”

PLATFORM UPDATES
New capabilities loading…
THREADS → If you’ve been seeing posts that start with “Dear Algo,” it’s because it’s central to Thread’s newest feature – literally called the “Dear Algo” feature. The feature is really an algorithm refinement tool that’s designed to give users more direct control over the content that they see in their feeds. By typing “Dear Algo” into a Threads post, along with a description of the type of post one wants to see more of, the platform adjusts the FYP accordingly. The updated FYP is temporary however, and will react to what a user does upon encountering those new recs – do they follow the accounts thrown their way? Engage with the posts? It’s one big feedback loop, and one that can help creators find other like-minded creators or collaborators.
SNAPCHAT → Snapchat has soft-launched its new monetization pathway for creators, Creator Subscriptions, with its first round of U.S.-based Snapchatters. According to Snap, Creator Subscriptions are meant to build on the platform’s current monetization tools, by introducing a creme de la creme layer of interaction embedded directly into how users already connect with creators – think, Stories, chat, replies, etc. For subscribers, the benefits are the usual menu of things like exclusive content and ad-free experiences. For creators, the W is more flexibility with their content and being able to set their own monthly subscription pricing within Snap-recommended tiers.
YOUTUBE → Another day, another new feature from YouTube. The latest is a function that automatically enables captions when a viewer mutes a video, enabling a viewer to keep watching a video even if they need to be sound off. So far, the function is only available on long-form videos, not Shorts.
